I had absolutely no voice for 3 days last week. And very little before that, and for several days after. Quite an interesting experience – just had to listen, and let everything pass on by, because I couldn’t respond verbally.
The only other time I’d lost my voice like this was at 4:30 p m on Election Day, 2004. I’ve always figured that if that election was stolen, that was when the deal went down. Losing my voice was completely out of the blue, just gone.
This time, the physical reason seemed linked to an allergy flare up in Florida with my sister, then extra time on the plane, waiting on the runway, followed by even more allergens here as the trees were pouring out pollen.
As to the mental and spiritual reasons, Louise Hay links laryngitis to anger, and the throat to our avenue of expression. For me, it’s all about the unwritten (Up Until Now) book(s).
Today is a good day to begin, and I’m starting now. No more laryngitis for me!
