It was hard to hear, on Thanksgiving, that President Barack Obama had gotten his lip elbowed during a basketball game. Especially since I don’t really believe in accidents.
We get accidents when we need them – to make a point or to start us down an entirely new path. This accident/synchronicity/coming together of forces (even though this is a small thing) says that he is not oblivious to the negativity directed at him, to the difficulty of his job, to the fact that some folk are sure he’s not doing a good job.
Our President is a very balanced guy – but even he can be thrown off balance and into the path of an elbow from time to time.
