Supposed to be just a bit of snow – but there’s nearly 3 new inches in my back yard. No sign of sleet or rain as yet, however – so that’s good!
The finches must be hiding out somewhere. I see chickadees on the finch feeder, but haven’t seen any finches for several days. They stay around – the goldfinch guys shed those bright feathers, so it may look like they’re gone – but they’re not.
I’m putting feed out on plates – and under the patio table, so everyone ends up feeding together. Quite a challenging time for them – and for me, figuring out how and where to put food so they can get it.
One of these days, I need a real birdbath, with a heater element in it.
Ah, well – the squirrels are still fat, so no one is suffering too badly. : >
