Finished up teaching a Reiki Second Degree class Monday and a Tarot class this evening. I love the different points of view students bring to classes, the questions, the interactions with other students. So much teaching and learning goes on, for all of us.
Most of the time, I teach three 2-hour sessions for one class. Occasionally, I teach an all day Saturday class, about 5 hours. Everyone receives a Certificate at the final session of the class.
We start with everyone talking about why they chose this class, and what they hope to learn from it. Questions are okay any time and all the time, so each class and group develops its own rhythm. And no class is ever the same way twice, with different students, different questions, different experiences feeding into the mix. This is particularly true with the Meditation and the Intuitive Development classes, since the students choose from a menu the topics they want to explore.
Based on that, several students have asked about re-taking classes, so when I re-start teaching in 2012, folk will be able to re-take whatever classes they wish, thus deepening their practice and expanding their knowledge. And I’ll get to have even more fun. Life is Good!
