So I never look at Macy’s catalogs. But I did, a month or so ago, and saw a green fake leather jacket in the men’s section that I instantly resonated with.
A couple of days later, I wandered into Macy’s, tried it on – they only had it in black – loved it, and pre-ordered it, since it wasn’t going to be on sale for a couple of weeks. Then I checked out the Kenneth Cole section, and emailed macys.com to find it in green. Turns out it is not made in green – so why it was pictured that way is a mystery.
Still, I loved it, resonated with it. And when I went to pick it up, felt that even more. So, on warm-ish days, I’ve been wearing this sleek black leather jacket, high collar, push up sleeves with zippers, other zippers around – and feeling great in it.
Son Brian saw me in it on Sunday – looks like Star Trek, he said. Bingo! There it was. I have bought a jacket from my favorite Utopian world.
Even wore it today, St. Patrick’s Day. Even though it’s not green.
